Tigran Mansurian Concert, Composition Workshop, and Receptions

The opening event in this series was held at Milton Court concert hall of the Guilldhall School of Music and Drama. In a rare London appearance by Tigran Mansurian, the composer assisted in the rehearsals, led a composition workshop, and of course, attended the concert. Levon Chilingirian led the Guildhall String Ensemble, playing the UK Premiere of Mansurian’s Violin Concerto no. 2 as well as pieces by Beethoven and Janáček. Receptions were held in the composer’s honour at the Guildhall and at the Armenian Institute.
